The main results of scientific research and technological developments performed by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine institutes within the framework of complex targeted research program of the NAS of Ukraine “Fundamental Problems of the Creation of New Substances and Materials of Chemical Production” (2012-2016) are summarized. Based on the obtained fundamental results in five key areas of the Program a number of innovative chemicals and materials based on new, environmentally friendly energy and resource saving technologies for various industries and social sphere are created. The development of such small-capacity high-end substances and materials will contribute to the restructuring of the chemical industry of Ukraine with the purpose of production of competitive chemical products, organization of its own production and increase in export potential.
