The book is devoted to the history and the scientific activity of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Book Science (URIBS), which worked successfully in Kyiv in 1920 and was well known by professionals. The devastation of the Soviet book science, and especially Ukrainian, which took place in 1931, led to the complete collapse of bibliological research in Ukraine, for decades destroyed the memory of URIBS and its staff.
