Initiative rating list 'Journal's International Compliance Index' (JIC Index) has recently intensified its activity. Detailed information about this list was presented by its founder at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Scientific Communication in the Digital Age" at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (29-30 March 2018). Some periodicals of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine without their permission or consent were included in this list by its initiator – company "Business Perspectives" (https://businessperspectives.org).

After the list has been published, many periodicals of the NAS of Ukraine started to receive complaints from world-wide scientometric and abstract databases, to which these periodicals were admitted at their own will and following the long selection process.

These complaints state that because of the presence in the initiative list of the Ukrainian publisher “Business Perspectives” respective periodicals may lose their positions in other databases. World-wide scientific community is well aware that since 2014 the aforementioned domestic publisher has been listed in the 'Bealls list of predatory Publishers' for violation of publishers' ethics. Furthermore, in 2017 all of this publisher's journals were removed from the list of public access journals of DOAJ and EconLit - the American Association of Economists Database - for violating basic priciples of publishing ethics.

Therefore, in order to preserve their business reputation and to avoid the problems of consequent inclusion and indexation in authoritative world-wide scientometric databases, the Scientific and Publishing Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine strongly urges all periodicals of the NAS of Ukraine to make an official request to the aforementioned publisher and demand their exclusion from this predatory pseudoresource.
